Daily Workout - Week 1 Complete

Fri, May 25
Pushups: 97 (Max Set: 30)
Crunches: 134 (Max Set: 32)
Pullups: 19 (Max Set: 6)

Reached the end of the my 6 day workout week. This evening, I’ll get to max out my squats and dips in one set to determine how many reps I’ll be doing next week. I’ll do the same for the above exercises on Sunday.

Someone asked me the other day if 20 minutes of exercise a day was enough. I replied and said, “Something is always better than nothing!” For me, after P90X was done, it was hard to get me to do it all over again. I was done in my head and just let myself go.

I want to be able to do something on a daily basis and not feel like it’s eating away the time from my day. 20-30 minutes a day seems like a great start. If I feel I have more spare time, I’ll just add more. Nothing to it!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Daily Workout

Thursday, May 24
Squats: 132 (Max Set: 40)
Dips: 83 (Max Set: 26)

I’ve increased about 20 squat reps and 14 dips. I know I could probably do more, but I’d like to start out slow and make sure I’m not overdoing it. This was only a 15 minute workout.

My legs have been sore ever since I started this workout on Sunday. It’s slowly feeling better. It’s only been a week and my body looks a little more toned than when I first started. Hoping to see some change in a month or so.

Back to Basics - Exercise

I’ve been using an Android app called “Just 6 Weeks”. I found it from much searching after visiting the one hundred push ups website. It’s a program to get you to perform 100 pushups, 200 situps, 150 dips, 200 squats, and 20 pullups.

It’s quite basic and you only need to do each workout 3 times a week. I separate the workouts by doing 3 workouts on one day and the other 2 workouts the following day. This equates to working out 6 days a week and currently only last about 20 minutes a day after 5 sets of each workout.

Definitely won’t push you like P90X and Insanity, but I’ve been looking to do SOMETHING, which is better than nothing. I’m going to start logging my reps and keeping up with this.

The best part about this is that I can do these exercises anywhere and anytime. No weights needed. I have absolutely no excuse. So LET’S GET IT!

Wed, May 23
Pushups: 83 (Max Set: 22)
Crunches: 121 (Max Set: 30)
Pullups: 13 (Max Set: 4)

One

All it takes is one event to send someone’s world spiraling down.

At the same time, all it takes is one event to bring you back to the top again.

Don’t underestimate the power of one.

I think I will disappear for awhile…

Push

Even sometimes the most motivational or inspirational photos can do the opposite. Your mind can tell you that you’ll never be that.

One thing I do know is that what I did in 2010 took 3 months. It hasn’t even been 2 weeks. STICK TO IT.

I was trying to find an inspirational fitness photo from tumblr. Then I thought, what’s better than the photo I took from completing P90X 2 years ago?
Need to get… back…

Need to get… back…

If I were to go back to college, think what a loser I’d be
I’d walk through the quad, and think, oh my God
These kids are so much younger than…
MEEEEEEEEEEEEE
